Bridgescout\u00ae measures the distance to and height of each object included in the database in a forward direction from its own position. Bridgescout\u00ae warns if the bridge is lower than the height of the Bridgescout\u00ae system. The system does not warn if the vessel is approaching an obstacle while traveling in reverse. The system does not take into account objects on the vessel above the position of Bridgescout\u00ae (e.g., mast or antenna), nor the length of the vessel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The functioning of Bridgescout\u00ae can be negatively affected by poor visibility, weather conditions, temperature, obstacles in the measurement line between the Bridgescout\u00ae system and a bridge, incorrect installation, inadequate maintenance, damage\/defects, or dirt or condensation on the glass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We strive to keep our object database up-to-date. However, we are also dependent on your information as a waterway user.
